Meet Lexzi
I’m Lexzi Neaves - the hands and heart behind Nettle & Root. For me, the wisdom of plants is a love language. It’s how I have learned to show up for myself, my family and my community.
My deepest inspiration is found right outside my front door. Whether I’m wandering neighborhood trails or playing in my own garden, I’ve found that getting to know the plants growing around is me is like running into old friends on a morning walk. Every year, I invite a few new plant friends into my garden, journeying with throughout a growing season. While my tea cabinet might be filled with plants from all over the world, I have come to believe the medicine we need most is often found closest to home, thriving in the same soil and spaces that we do.
Nettle & Root was born from my personal journey of learning to slow down and sit with my plants, sip my tea and remind myself that our bodies were born knowing how to be well. Sitting with the knowledge that we live in societies that push us into lifestyles that do not promote wellbeing, that groom us to be good consumers and then sell us expensive products with the promise of making us well.
A Rebellious Little Ritual
When you open a box of my tea, I hope you feel re-sourced. Equipped with what you need to care for yourself in a world that tries so hard to convince us that we can’t.
Taking a moment of pause to prepare an herbal infusion is a quiet rebellion against a life filled with ‘ought-tos’ and ‘must-haves’. A ritual that recognizes that the simple act of slowing down can do more for our wellbeing than the ever changing list of things we are told we must buy in order to feel ‘well’.
The ritual of tuning in to the supportive energy of plants through the ritual of a slow cup of herbal tisane is a medicine that prioritizes the wellbeing of the whole person, rather than quick fixes for symptoms of larger systemic issues. A simple cup of tea. A small thing that for me, changed so much.

The Radical Act of Listening
Nettle & Root grew out of a deep need for reconnection. To self and to the rhythms of the earth. A gradual slowing down and tuning into rhythms our body intuitively recognizes and claims, despite existing within a culture of ‘more’ and ‘now’ - that pushes a constant need for growth and rewards disconnection.
As I tuned into the cycles and wisdom of the earth, I realized that our modern disconnect isn’t just a personal struggle; its a collective one.
